My ballroom dancing career began in New Jersey, in 1978.  I quickly became enthralled with the variety of dances, music, techniques and endless creativity that go into the art of ballroom dancing.  More importantly, I realized that I had a talent for teaching the very thing that brought me such joy.

My determination led me to, what was at that time, one of the top dance schools in the country - the Fred Astaire Studio in Sarasota, Florida. Continued experience in dancing, teaching, and management led me to own a local Fred Astaire Studio.  After several successful years, I felt the need to expand my ideas, and began to consider other options in the dance world. I came to realize that by becoming an independent teacher I could offer quality lessons and dance activities at more affordable prices.

Although I have competed professionally and with students for the majority of my career, my real passion is being able to help students become smooth, comfortable, confident social dancers.  I enjoy instilling that good feeling that comes with self improvement and good health.

Anyone can learn and follow set dance routines. To be able to lead or follow any partner and not just your teacher is even more of an accomplishment.  It's much more fun to be able to lead or follow just about anyone who asks you to dance, don't you think?

Fixing lead or follow problems so that couples can dance together comfortably is just one of my specialties.

My aim is to make every dance experience a delightful one; after all, my success is defined by the success of my students.
